Challenge
Inventory and warehouse operations can be challenging without proper optimization solutions. That’s why our client’s goal was to develop a system that would allow greatly facilitate the workers’ everyday tasks and control the warehouse working processes.
The task of our team was to develop the frontend part of the picking and putting-away optimizer for workers as a part of the Spider system.
Solution
Using Vue.js, we implemented critical warehousing workflows in the application’s frontend, including the picking and putting-away of goods. Corresponding modes incrementally guide the workers on this or that working stage: for example, how and where to pack the goods, what the weight and quantity should be, and more.
Every detail is accounted for, ensuring that even inexperienced workers can easily understand the processes. The appropriate data from the backend corresponds to the real-time availability and information about specific products.
Also, the application’s frontend part was adapted for a specific device that will be used in the warehouse – the kiosk.
Result
We developed a highly effective solution that optimizes daily warehouse processes.
Workers can obtain all the necessary information about a product and how it should be packed simply by scanning the barcode.
The introduction of the developed application can significantly improve and optimize work processes.
